Assessing Shoulder Internal Rotation at Cressey Performance

Tony Gentilcore just did a post on how to properly assess shoulder internal rotation. This is important for people who like to use their shoulders, so go check it out. It features a video of yours truly in the demonstration.

Summer at Cressey Performance - I'm still alive

So some of you have noticed a conspicuous lack of any recent blog posts. You can rest easy knowing that I'm alive and well, if not ridiculously busy. Don't worry, I'll be back to posting some good stuff soon.

Here's the deal- I graduated with my B.S. in Kinesiology in May and moved to Hudson, Massachusetts to do a three month internship at Cressey Performance.

Since June 1st I've been spending 50 hours a week training high school through professional and olympic athletes. This includes lifting, sprinting, plyos, medicine ball work, and for me, a lot of nutrition talk with the athletes. About 80% of the athletes are baseball players but we have field hockey, lacrosse, football, basketball, rugby, hockey, and boxing athletes too, as well as some regular people trying to stay in shape.

The place and all the staff are awesome; I'm having a great time and learning a lot. I'll put up some updates occasionally.

For now, here's a video of one of the guys I train, AJ, rocking some trap bar deadlifts + chains, weighing in at over 500 lbs at the top. Enjoy.
